FEATURED WORKS
Below, I have highlighted what I think to be, my best works. With a passion for learning and a thirst for knowledge, I am always trying to explore new things. The work below is representative of this curiosity which has developed a diverse skillset, ranging from cinematography and graphic design to academic writing and the study of the sciences.
Digital Arts
The development of technology has brought upon new forms of storytelling. Through still frames and moving videos, we can express ourselves and share a story.
With the tools and technology necessary for creating such media becoming more accessible, I have taken advantage of this opportunity to develop my storytelling ability. I began with an old camcorder and have grown from there, working with a dSLR as well as using equipment such as tripods, microphones, sliders, and fluid heads. I continue to develop my editing abilities in Adobe Audition, Lightroom, Photoshop, and Premiere Pro.
Through exploring this field of study, I have learned important transferable skills which I have applied into my studies.
Digital Dilemma

Digital Dilemma
With the growing prevalence of social media platforms and online influences, people can feel cornered into decisions that they make. The intent behind Digital Dilemma is to question why this is socially acceptable.
One of my most recently produced films was Digital Dilemma, a film which closed IGNITE 2019. The goal in mind was to create a short film which fell within 2-3 mins and the story which my group and I had decided on was one which tackled the influence of the "social norm." Faced with many challenges along the way, I was able to preserve and further develop my cinematography skills.
Graphic Design
On the right, you can see a few pieces of graphic design work that I completed, with the use of Adobe Photoshop. One of the highlighted pieces, The Last Jedi poster, has been featured in a publication, and some of the pieces have been recognized by the Vice-President of Marketing at Disney Canada.

CAMP MANITOU

Graphic created for the camp shirts.

Camp Manitou (2019)
In September 2019, I left for Camp Manitou, a retreat meant for Grade 9s to develop a sense of brotherhood. As a core team leader, I assisted in organizing the event and managed groups of students at the camp. I was also responsible for the production of a video recap and the graphic featured above.

English & Sciences
As a student, I have learnt about English and the sciences for many years, but such broad fields are lifelong studies. English has never been my strong suit, but it is one of my favourite courses because of that.
Success does not come without struggle, and with English, overcoming challenges allows me to develop my critical thinking. The same principle can be applied to the sciences, as although not every branch of science is interesting to me, I must persevere to fulfill my desire to know more.

BIOLOGY
Although not my favourite science, I am proud of the works below because they provided me the opportunity to explore different ideas that I would not have otherwise.
Electromagnetic Induction
The task at hand: convert any other form of energy to electrical energy.
Solution: A plunger that generates electricity.
The creation process took days of extensive research and testing, as there were many factors to consider (opening size, type of magnets, the resistance of lightbulbs). Yet, against all the stress and frustration, this is one of my favourite projects because it develops my problem-solving abilities. I am able to take what I learn, from a variety of sources, and apply this knowledge.

Engineering Design
Design - Plan - Execute
In creating the projects featured below, I built experience in an entirely new sphere, developing skills in product management, 3D CAD, and stress test simulations.

Code Projects
Growing up, I always had a liking towards computers and technology. I started to become curious as to what I could do on the computer, learning basic things like, ripping music files from a CD, and have now moved on to computer programming.
Programming is a tool to solve a multitude of problems and is a field that is continuously developing. I hope to use this tool in the future to solve bigger problems, as I look into university programs for Software Engineering and Computer Science.
Stonks
Imagine an artificial stock market that you could trade in without risking any of your own money, that is Stonks. This is my most recent programming project, developed in Java, using concepts such as arrays, aggregate classes, and interactions between objects.

Computer Basics for Dummies
Coded in Java, Computer Basics for Dummies makes use of programming concepts such as conditional control structures and user input along with basic knowledge in computer technology. The goal was to create a functional and informative game within the confines of one method.

Kingdom of Knowledge
Coded using Visual Basic 6.0, Kingdom of Knowledge is an educational game that teaches the user math concepts and then quizzes them on the knowledge. This was my first big project with computer programming. In the game, users rack up points and earn power-ups, varying dependent on the class type picked.

Recognition & Achievement
"The price of success is hard work, dedication to the job at hand, and the determination that whether we win or lose, we have applied the best of ourselves to the task at hand."
Vince Lombardi
Below is a collection of awards and competitions that I have participated in, that I am proud of. These achievements push me forward, as they are a reminder of what hard work and determination can accomplish.
